Services:
Lisack Community Food Pantry is a low-barrier, emergency food resource.
Their goal is to eliminate food insecurity by connecting clients to food immediately and by connecting clients to resources for the long-term.
Food Finders Food Bank realized that simply handing out grocery items was no longer enough.
The reasons for food insecurity are complex and numerous.
It is their hope that by offering resource coordination in addition to grocery items they can assist clients in overcoming barriers that stand in their way to food security and self-sufficiency.
More than a meal, the J.P. Lisack Community Food Pantry offers hope.
What do they mean when they say low-barrier?
They mean you do not need to show proof of income or proof of ID to get food.
They trust you.
They also mean that there are no limits to the number of times you can access their pantry, as long as you are a resident of Tippecanoe County.
What do they mean when they say emergency?
Because you can come as often as you need, you should plan on only getting enough food from this pantry to last until you are able to access food from another source.
In most cases, this equals enough food to last between 2 and 3 days.
The pantry offers assistance and information on how to access other food sources.
