Six days a week, Monday to Saturday, Caritas Port Chester offers its customers coffee and Danish, muffins, or bagels from 7:30 a.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays.
At 9:00 a.m. they will add hot soup, eggs, or a hot sandwich, depending on what they prepared the day before.
Until 9:00 a.m. on weekdays, their volunteer cooks have arrived to help their chefs prepare salads, desserts, fruit, and vegetables for lunch.
Lunch is always a balanced meal of meat or fish, vegetables, starch, soup, and salad, with a choice of fruit and dessert.
Some of their clients have dietary problems, and they try to adapt to the choices they make when they tell us about them.
Food pantry opening hours:
Tuesday 9:00-10:30 a.m.
Saturdays 8.00 a.m. - 9.30 a.m.
On these days, registered family members can choose from shelves of canned, dry, and boxed items in stock, as well as from tables with fresh food and bread, if available.
