Details

South Milwaukee Human Concerns is the only social service organization in the City of South Milwaukee.
They provide emergency services, which often become long term.
It is their goal to provide the opportunity for the clients to participate in activities to aid them in improving the quality of their lives and perhaps ultimately changing their economic status to function independently of this organizations.
Its a place where people can obtain food, clothing, household items, holiday assistance, referral service.
To qualify a person must register with South Milwaukee Human Concerns, meet their income guidelines and show they are current residents of South Milwaukee.
Emergency Food including perishable and non-perishable with an emphasis on nutritional items.
Family size determines the amount of food given.
Women and Infant Children (WIC) program recipients are eligible for one container of baby formula every 30 days.
To Their Clients: Bring Proof of South Milwaukee Residency
To access SMHC, clients need to verify current proof of South Milwaukee residence.
This is accomplished through a personal piece of mail, check stub, rent receipt, or official correspondence that indicates current South Milwaukee address that is dated within the 30 days of the visit to SHMC.
Clients need to present this "proof of residency" on every visit.
Clients can access SMHC one time per month.

Mondays noon-3pm
Tuesdays CLOSED
Wednesdays 4-6pm
Thursdays 9-11am & 1-3pm
Fridays 9-noon
Last Saturday of the month 10-noon
