Through education, advocacy and the acquisition, storage and distribution of food, the Community Food Bank of Tucson anticipates and meets the food needs of the hungry in their community.
Founded in 1976, the Food Bank relies on 78 employees and hundreds of community volunteers to ensure that the people of Southern Arizona have access to the food and programs they need.
The Community Food Bank provides enough food for over 35,000 meals every day.
Over 16.5 million pounds of food were distributed through the food bank's programs last year.
