"Thank You Our Daily Bread" is the official name of the Whitney Food Bank.
Services:
They offer three programs to serve their customersmonthly program, weekend student program, and summer student program.
Each month, the Whitney Food Bank provides food to nearly 700 household members.
Their doors are open to anyone who can present a photo ID and proof of residence.
Customers do not need to receive food stamps to be eligible.
The Director of the Food Bank shall determine the appropriate quantity of food products to be distributed to each household according to the size of the family and needs.
Most customers receive food every 30 days to provide a one-week value of meals for the month.
The Whitney Food Bank is open three days a week to the distribution of food.
On a typical day, 30 families with 75 family members will receive 1,700 pounds of food from the Food Bank. 
At the end of the month, more than 40 volunteers worked nearly 500 hours serving 300 families with nearly 700 family members and providing more than 17,000 pounds of food.
Weekend Student Program
During the school year, eligible students are part of their "Backpack" program.
Every Friday, these students receive a backpack from a school counselor, which is filled with canned food for breakfast and lunch this weekend.
Backpacks are returned to the school counselor on the following Monday to be refilled before the next weekend.
Summer Student Program
When the school is out, parents or guardians of eligible students can visit the Food Bank twice a month on Wednesdays to receive "Summer Snack Bags."
These bags have breakfast, lunch, and snacks that should last 10 days.
